Sustainability

At Manuel Larraga we feel a great commitment to the current concerns of our society.

Among them, the manufacturing of a sustainable and environmentally friendly product is one of our priorities.

Working in a artisanal way, manufacturing on demand and sourcing a rigorous selection of materials from local workshops helps us to generate less waste and less pollution.

Together with our suppliers we look for materials that are preferably natural, sustainable, durable and of high quality in order to get furniture that lasts over time.

Our solid wood structures are manufactured with the PEFC certification which ensures forest sustainability.

The polyurethane foams we use are manufactured with the Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX certificate..

Our packaging materials are mostly recycled cardboard and plastics, which have a lower environmental impact.

In recent years, we have been involved in improving our processes, seeking digital and green economy solutions, having participated in the initiatives of the Government of Aragon through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), through the ‘Support for investments that contribute to the transition to a digital economy and green economy’ of the Operational Programme European Regional Development Fund of Aragon.

In 2022, we created a new fabric collection, ‘Nature’, whose selection is characterised by the mostly use of natural fibres and/or recycled fibres..

Finally, in the same year we installed solar panels in our facilities in Zaragoza, in order to use clean energy for the manufacture of our products, thus generating a lower environmental impact on our planet.
